NAPTOSA KZN Media Release: No Space to sit ... No Room to breath

NAPTOSA KZN must disclose its unhappiness and sadness that our learners are being exposed to extreme learning conditions that are definitely not conducive to teaching and learning.
Over-crowded classes have become the norm in the Province, schools in urban areas are literally bursting at the seams, despite the teacher pupil ratio in the Province being 1:31. Class sizes vary from 80 – 104 learners in a class. The infrastructure of the school does not allow for such numbers to be accommodated. Schools that were built to accommodate 800 learners now accommodate 2100 learners.
