NAPTOSA Gauteng Long Service Awards in 2014

NAPTOSA Gauteng will again recognise long service by its members (both teachers and PS staff) by awarding certificates during 2014 for service up to the end of 2013.  Members who become eligible to receive a Long Service Certificate from NAPTOSA Gauteng will be invited to attend a function at which these certificates will be presented.  The Awards Ceremony is scheduled to be held during March 2014.

The basis for awarding Certificates is for service to education of 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45 years (not necessarily continuous).  Please note the following:

1     A Certificate may be awarded when you reach one of the milestones 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45 years of service to education.  This is open to all current NAPTOSA Gauteng members regardless of any former union affiliation.

2     Certificates at the 2014 ceremony will only be awarded for one of the milestones as indicated above.

3     Every member, including teachers and support staff (PS staff – eg admin, general assistants etc) at schools and offices, is eligible to apply.

4     A member who has already received a Long Service Award Certificate from NAPTOSA, or any other union, will be entitled to receive a subsequent Certificate when he or she reaches the next milestone.

Members who reached one of the milestones by 31 December 2013 are invited to complete the form below and return it to NAPTOSA Gauteng by Friday 31 January 2014.  Please note that members should only submit a form if they reached or exceeded the exact number of years of service during 2013 AND have not received a previous certificate for that same number of years.  However members who have not previously received a Long Service Award from our Union should mark the box which represents the most recent milestone that they have reached or passed.
