NAPTOSA encourages its members to vote ethically : Cast your vote - 7 May 2014

The Moral Regeneration Movement under the Leadership of Father Smagaliso Mkhatshwa has developed a Charter of Ethics for General Elections, The Charter of Election Ethics was launched and signed on 25 March 2014.

The Moral Regeneration Movement (MRM) is a networking platform mandated to facilitate, coordinate all processes and initiatives aimed at combating moral degeneration. The MRM works with and through local structures in communities. MRM seeks to promote local action and commitment from the various communities of the country at all levels.

The Charter of Election Ethics is aimed at encouraging South Africans who eligible to vote to act ethically.  South Africa prides itself in conducting free and fair elections. This is only accomplished when all South Africans act ethically and responsibly. On the 7th May 2014, is the day that millions of South Africans will be going to the voting polls to vote? Teachers will be exercising their right to shape the education of our country amongst other things. In our institutions and schools many “born frees” need to be educated and encouraged about their responsibility to vote.

Nelson Mandela quotation on casting his first vote

“When I walked to the voting station, my mind dwelt on the heroes who had fallen so that I might be where I was that day. I thought of our great African heroes who had made great sacrifices so that millions of South Africans could be voting on that very day”
