The 7th Provincial Annual Conference will be held at Rio Hotel, Casino and Convention Resort in Klerksdorp on Friday, 6 September 2013. The Theme of Conference is: “Making Basic Education Happen: Taking Responsibility”. The keynote speaker is Professor Elda de Waal from the North West University.Branch AGMs will be taking place throughout our 19 branches between July and August. We look forward to meaningful Conference resolutions!

SELECTION PROCESSES ON ADVERTISED POSTS (CIRCULAR 20 OF 2013)

Members who have applied for these advertised office based posts should notify the branch office bearers in order that relevant observers can be deployed to observe both the short listing and interview processes.

 

EXCITING ONE DAY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS IN MORETELE AND MAFIKENG

 

NAPTOSA will once more run Professional Development Workshops, funded by the ETDP SETA in Moretele and Mafikeng. The workshops will focus on Mathematics and English in the Foundation Phase and Life Orientation in Grades 7 – 9.

 

NB. FP English and Maths will be facilitated in different rooms; it is advisable that schools sent a teacher for each subject.

The workshops are free of charge and are open to all teachers irrespective of teacher union affiliation.

Refreshments will be offered (Morning tea and lunch)

Dates: Moretele: 3 August 2013. Venue: Mosetlha Primary School

Dates: Mafikeng: 17 August 2013. Venue: DP Kgotleng Primary School

NB. Every teacher attending the NAPTOSA/ETDP SETA workshops will require a certified copy of their ID. Either a principal or a police station can certify the document as a true copy. This is a requirement by the SETA.

The newly appointed Professional Development Officer, Ms Puseletso Hoaeane will be visiting schools around the two areas around July 2013 to introduce herself and to encourage teachers to participate in the programme.

It is important that every participant teacher registers to facilitate catering and other logistics.
