NAPTOSA COMMERCIAL BENEFIT - FAMILY ASSISTANCE BENEFIT (FAB)
The Metropolitan Family Assistance Benefit (FAB) is an added benefit to the NAPTOSA Funeral Benefit Scheme that all members qualify for. Family Assistance Benefit (FAB) is an added benefit which assists the bereaved family and next of kin with repatriation services, funeral assistance, claims assistance, legal assistance and bereavement counselling. These services are available on the death of a NAPTOSA member or on the death of his/her spouse, children, parents and parents-in-law as part of the monthly NAPTOSA membership fee.
NAPTOSA Members and their family members also benefit from the EA Touch which is a trauma benefit offering telephonic and other assistance in the case of sexual assault and HIV exposure) and Emergency Medical Services that provides swift medical response including deployment of ambulances in the event of a violent attack, an accident or sudden severe illness.
Family Assistance Benefit service is also extended to NAPTOSA members resident outside the borders of RSA, limited to beneficiaries resident in SADC countries namely; Angola, Botswana, Lesotho Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, EXCLUDING Mauritius and Seychelles.
-The service is provided through a network of service providers close to the vicinity of the deceased.
-The customs and beliefs of the member will be respected.
-The necessary documentation to transport the deceased will be arranged, including cross-border documentation.
The Family Assistance Benefit (FAB) services can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year through the call centre on 0861 666 111.
The family of a bona fide NAPTOSA member (Union monthly subscription fee of R84.00 fully paid) can enjoy this added benefit.
