2014 A YEAR FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 

THE CPTD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS HERE

 

January 2014 marks the commencement of the CPTD management system cycle for Principals and Deputies. As mentioned in NF 21 of 2013, NAPTOSA members should have heard by now of the SACE Continuing Professional Teacher Development point system (CPTD).

 Principals and Deputies of schools should have signed up on the CPTD information system by the end of December 2013. This is in preparation for their 1st CPTD Cycle from January 2014 onwards.

All educators must sign up manually or electronically on the CPTD Self Service Portal before they participate in their 1st CPTD Cycle.

Educators can sign up manually by filling in the manual profile form or electronically through the CPTD self –service portal found on the SACE website.

Educators can also use their cellphone to sign up through the SACE CPTD mobisite.

Principals or delegated persons must sign up for their schools by the end of March 2014 using the school profile form.

 

NAPTOSA Professional Development courses for Principals and Deputies will meet the SACE endorsement requirements providing the opportunity for our members at this level to upgrade management skills in compliance with the SACE-CPTD point system.
