It has been reported that employee tend to exit the services of the Department either through resignation, early retirement, normal retirement or compulsory retirement without giving the required notice of termination.
This practice has serious implications for effective service delivery in that arrangements cannot be made timeously to recruit suitable replacement. in many instance, the delay in effecting the termination of service results in salary overpayments with adverse consequences for the Department.
The following procedure directives on employee exits are discussed below:
